What are vent free gas logs?
Vent free gas logs are made for fireplaces that may not have a lot of venting.
The vent free logs tend to burn at a highter temperature in order to burn up the gas, which allows them to require less venting than the regualr gas logs.
Are special fireplace doors needed with vent free gas logs?
The fireplace doors you choose need to be able to withstand the extra heat that is emitted from the vent free gas logs. It is always good to ask the manufacturer if the door is suitable for the vent free gas logs.
Am I able to use vented doors, such as the zero clearance doors with the vent free gas logs?
As long as you have a prefabricated firebox, you can use doors that have venting with any type of gas logs.
